Component Video Wall Plates
Part of the Cat5 Driver Series from AudioPlex Technology
This wall plate system allows audio and video signal runs to be made over affordable Cat5 cabling at distances up to 500 feet. Installers can simply pre–wire a structure with multiple runs of Cat5 cable, providing total flexibility of signal formats at the final trim–out stage, with simplified future revisions. Models are available to accommodate line level and digital audio (Toslink or coax), composite, and S–video, as well as Y/Pb/Pr high definition component video (through 1080i). All kits come complete, with everything needed except the Cat5 cable. Typically located at the transmit side, the included power supply may also be located at the receive side or at a remote location (may require the purchase of an additional power supply kit). Faceplates are white color and are compatible with standard Decora wall plates.
The set shown is a complete send receive kit that includes one transmit and one receive wall plate and accommodates Y/Pb/Pr component video signal. Decora style plates have RCA female connectors, color coded red, blue and green to designate each component signal path. A separate single gang decora plate is used to provide the power connection, and may be located at the transmit side, receive side, or remotely.
